HOW TO INSTALL AN SSL/TLS CERTIFICATE IN WEB HOST MANAGER (WHM).
In definition the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates are small data file that bind the organization’s information to a cryptographic key digitally of which when installed it activates a padlock and the http protocol hence only allowing secure connection between the server and the web browser.
The web host manager is a program that is powerful that allows administrative access to the back end of the cpanel. There are two versions that the host gator uses. For the reseller accounts they use the basic web host manager and for the VPS accounts together with the dedicate servers they get room web host manager (rWHM) that has features which require root access to the enabled server. The resellers can not have the rWHM.

This is the certificate you received from the certificate authority for your domain. The server certificate may have been sent to you via e-mail and if not so you have to visit your account dashboard, clicking on your order then download the certificate.
The intermediate certificates allow the devices connected to your server to identify the issuing certificate authority. There may be more than one of these certificate. If by any chance you got your certificate in a ZIP folder then the intermediate certificates should also be contained there which at times is known as the certificate authority bundle.
