Sectigo is a market leader in providing end user SSL certificates. Comodo had two divisions; Comodo group that specializes with antivirus and firewall solutions and Comodo CA that focused on Public Key Infrastructure and the SSL certificates.
Comodo CA was in October, 2017 acquired by Francisco Partners who chose to rebrand in 2019 after confusion about the two companies during cybersecurity events.
